June 14th, Malibu, California — Clout Rideshop is proud to announce the grand re-opening of its Zuma Beach store on Saturday, June 21st 2008. 

After two continuous weeks of sweat, blood and intense improvisation, a new store has emerged from the sawdust, just in time for us to celebrate our beloved summer solstice. Rebuilt exclusively with materials donated from torn down Malibu beach homes and rescued items from local marine junkyards, the 2800 square foot space was completely remodeled in order to accommodate a new array of performance and classic surfboards, kiteboards as well as a larger and newly redesigned skate section. 

Clout prides itself on having served the Malibu community for over 10 years and remaining true to its roots by paying homage to generations of surf and skate heritage.  To celebrate, Clout welcomes all Malibu community members and Clout patrons alike to its store opening party, Saturday June 21st, starting at 6 p.m.  The reception will feature works by artists Joe Curren, Alex Weinstein, Scott Richards, Randy Noborikawa and Harry Daily as well as special performances by the Harsh Carpets and The Japanese Motors.

Garrett Mcnamara stopped by Clout on Monday so we brought him over to the house to tow and surf the peaking swell.  Fun times all day long and today, we paired him up with Warren and towed a local secret spot.

Another teamrider, another magazine spread. 
This time it’s Ian’s turn in the latest issue of Kiteworld where he makes kiting look a little more like surfing and a little less like rollerblading on water.

There he is again, Warren getting barreled, working the cameras. This time, thank god, in the water.  Enough tennis already.

This weekend, we are hosting a Naish Demo here in Malibu.  Come by and check out the new 2008 gear, where Nick (from Naish), Ian (Alldredge) as well as some of the Clout Rideshop riders will be there to help set-up and answer any questions you might have about the gear.

ON SATURDAY - Demo will be held in either North Beach or further down by Rattlesnake trail depending on wind / lifeguard permission.

SUNDAY - We will plan a 7 mile downwinder from Deer Creek to the “Clout House” where we will BBQ and have some drinks provided by Red Bull.
